In Westport CT Compo Beach ....

... is fun for the entire family. A crown jewel of Westport CT Compo Beach is where everyone heads when the weather turns warm.

Located on Compo Beach Road - this stretch of sand is the largest public shoreline that the Town has to offer. Included here is an awesome playground that the kids love.

Visitors will also find a pavilion and a boardwalk near the play area.

Further down the beach are the famous canons that serve as a reminder of our role in history (and are also a favorite amongst the kids!).

A day at the beach is never complete without refreshments - and Compo handles this well by way of it's own Joey's By The Shore concessions. The menu includes hot dogs, burgers, fries, cold drinks, and - a must have - ice cream.

The south side of the beach has ample space for picnicking with tables and grills - and most importantly, a gorgeous view of Long Island Sound.

While the sandy areas are the biggest draw we often forget that Compo is actually a park - there are ball fields, basketball courts, two sand volleyball courts, and a marina. For those that like skateboarding - the skate park is not to be missed.
